Students Federation of India (SFI) will conduct a model Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) at 304 centres, including 27 in the district, on February 22.
A 15-member committee was set up with MLC Chukka Ramaiah of IIT fame as the convener. Gold medals would be given to the toppers and others would get nine fabulous prizes, SFI district president B. Jagan said on Tuesday.
The students have to pay a fee of Rs.30 before February 15 by contacting SFI office or dialling 97015-07650. Stating that the results would be announced within two days, he said the evaluation of the answer scripts would be done by a team of experienced teachers.
The SFI has been conducting model EAMCET for the past six years and last year 47,000 students took the test. Mr. Jagan said they wanted to convey the message to the authorities concerned that the EAMCET organising committee should not charge Rs.250 per candidate.
