Exclusive: The seven 'missing' terrorists - National News Updates

|
Pakistan may have put the ball in India's court as far as the 26/11 probe is concerned, but TIMES NOW has stumbled upon a missing link that could be the key to the investigations, the seven terrorists, who plotted the attack are missing and are on the loose in Pakistan. 26/11 mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and six terror suspects are finally on trial in Pakistan. But Pakistani media feels that there is a missing link. “Investigative authorities have informed us that 17 men had set out for carrying out this attack in three launches. Out of the 17 who went, only seven came back. The other ten reached Mumbai,” Fahim Siddiqui, Karachi correspondent of Pakistan's Geo News told TIMES NOW. These seven terrorists had their task cut out. First they provided cover for the ten-man terror squad who left for Mumbai. They also provided the logistical support for the launch of operation and charted out the safest sea route for the terror mission. Siddiqui said, “When only seven returned to port, they must have been interrogated. And they must have said that the other ten drowned in the boat that sank. That is how they tackled the question of answering the absence of the other ten.” The missing seven men could hold the key to the entire investigation, feels Siddiqui. “The seven are very important even for Pakistan - as important as Kasav. Just as Pakistan wants access to Kasav so as to fill in the missing links, so also it needs these seven to explain as to how the events occurred.” This explosive revelation came even as the Pakistan’s Foreign Minister asked India to co-operate on investigations. As Pakistan grapples with the intense international pressure on the 26/11 probe, the crackdown will only be complete once this missing link is probed.
